Turck inaugurates sales and marketing center
15/16 – Automation specialist invests 13 million euros on the Mülheim site
The automation specialist Turck opened its new sales and marketing headquarters in Mülheim with a solemn inauguration ceremony. Together with customers, business partners, shareholders, advisory board members and staff, Turck’s managing directors Ulrich Turck and Christian Wolf handed over the new building. Among the guests of honor were North Rhine-Westphalia's Prime Minister Hannelore Kraft and Ulrich Scholten, Mayor of Mülheim.
"In the last four years, the Turck Group has initiated a substantial investment drive of over 100 million euros, with the clear objective to ensure a sustainable and successful development of the company”, stated Wolf. There had been considerable extensions of manufacturing capacities in this time, not only in the production and development center in Halver (Sauerland region), but also in Beierfeld (Saxony), Delémont (Switzerland) and Minneapolis (United States), as well as in Saltillo (Mexico).
Prime Minister Hannelore Kraft was impressed by the open, transparent building and enterprise development: "Turck is a very good example for a family business with a successful long-term strategy with in-time investments in new technologies and infrastructure, thus providing continual growth and innovation."
In the past two years an architecturally sophisticated building has been constructed on the approximately 15000-square-meter plot adjacent to the existing headquarters in Mülheim, with approximately 4200 square meters of office and representation areas. The building offers a spacious reception and conference area on the ground floor and is surrounded by a campus-like Park. Responsible for planning and implementing were the architects Eller + Eller.
